WAS IT THOUGH?! In 1980, Umberto Lenzi's Italian feature 'Nightmare City' featured intelligent infected who could run and also use weapons 🤯 But like in '28 Years Later', they weren't technically zombies.

In 1985, Dan O'Bannon's RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD featured the first actual running zombies 😌

I watched Thunderbolts... I mean The New Avengers. Here are my thoughts...

- I'm glad it wasn't simply Marvel's version of The Suicide Squad
- Florence Pugh and David Harbour carried this movie
- Wasn't as action-packed as I expected, didn't feel as grand as other MCU movies
- Bob was a great character and super interesting
- Big fight with villain left much to be desired but cool concept
- Nice set up for Fantastic Four: First Steps
- 7/10

'Peaky Blinders' peaked (lol) right here- at the end of season 2. The show was never again as good as its first two seasons 🗻

Season 3 was forgettable, Season 4 was good and the best season other than 2. Season 5 was alright, Season 6 was meh. Consistently great visuals, style, soundtrack etc. But story and immersion wise? Right here is where it peaked ☝🏼

I love Southern Gothic visuals and music and 'Sinners' by Ryan Coogler is very enjoyable, but it isn't without its flaws. It laid a great foundation for a family drama but abandoned it all for vampire action. Not a bad thing but would've liked to have seen the characters explored more.
